C.T. SCAN

A CT scan is an exam that combines special equipment with computers to produce image of the inside of the body. CT scans can be done on internal organs, soft tissue, bone, and blood vessels to provide greater clarity and reveal more details than regular x-ray exams.

X-RAY / FLUOROSCOPY

An x-ray is a test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with x-rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce images of the inside of the body.
Fluoroscopy is a real-time x-ray that makes it possible to see internal organs in motion.  This test normally involves drinking a contrast while the x-rays are being taken.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a test that utilizes a large magnet that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. MRI is used to visualize internal structure and function of the body.

EKG STRESS TESTING

NUCLEAR MEDICINE: CARDIAC, THYROID, BONE

Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose or treat a variety of diseases including (but not limited to) heart disease, many types of cancer, bone abnormalities and gastrointestinal issues. Nuclear medicine imaging procedures are non-invasive and usually painless medical tests that help a physician to diagnose medical conditions. Nuclear medicine has the ability to image both function and structure.

BONE DENSITOMETRY

Bone density scanning, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) or bone densitometry, is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone loss. DXA is today’s established standard for measuring bone mineral density and is most often used to diagnose osteoporosis.

ULTRASOUND: GENERAL

Ultrasound is a diagnostic procedure that uses painless and harmless high frequency sound waves inaudible to human ear to view internal organs and produce images of the human body.

ULTRASOUND: MUSCULOSKELETAL (MSK), VASCULAR

MAMMOGRAPHY

STEREOTACTIC BIOPSY
